Working on behalf of Landchain Ltd and alongside Maven Plan, Morse Webb Architects have submitted an outline planning application for 81 new dwellings on the site of the former Tina Nursery and Gap Valley Nurseries in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire.
The application sees the formalisation of one of a number of recently allocated sites in this area – many of which are redundant nurseries that had originally been developed during the 1940s to cultivate food production to feed wartime Londoners. The masterplan has been developed in close consultation with the local planning authority and their vision to see an organically evolved village layout, in this edge of greenbelt location. The scheme contains 40% affordable homes, a children’s play area, new landscaping and green infrastructure, as well as important links to existing pedestrian routes and desire lines through the site. The application is due to be considered by Broxbourne Borough Council in early 2019.
