Morse Webb Architects have participated the design and specification of a broad range of repairs, alterations, and conservation improvements to the Grade I listed Founders Building at the Royal Holloway University of London since 2023. Internal and external conservation works have been undertaken to improve access and building safety throughout Founders Building, with all interventions displaying an exceptional degree of sensitivity to the historic fabric and structure.
Improvements have been undertaken to historically and architecturally significant locations, such as the Chapel, Victorian Corridor, Main Lecture Theatre, and inner Quadrangles. Alterations to student accommodation and circulation routes across Founders Building have also been designed and implemented to improve the practicality of spaces, while preserving and celebrating historic features.
