This project located at Stroud School in Romsey involved the replacement of outdated modular teaching blocks with a new purpose built Key Stage 2 facility for pupils in year 3 to 5.
Designed to enhance both learning and working environments, the new single-storey building features six modern teaching rooms, offices, locker spaces, and high quality WC facilities. Natural materials, generous glazing, and sustainable construction methods were prioritised to create a structure that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding landscaped grounds and woodland, while providing excellent natural light and ventilation.
Careful site planning ensured improved accessibility for all users, with level paths and ramped access to address the sites sloping terrain. This transformation forms a cornerstone of the schools longer term masterplan, supporting Stroud School's commitment to high-quality education, and the wellbeing of its pupils and staff.
